As one of the country’s top Cannabis insurance experts, Steve Sherman leads PSA’s Cannabis insurance team. Steve is responsible for securing specialty coverages for cannabis growers, processors, dispensaries, security firms, and consultants who serve the cannabis industry. He also specializes in various risk management solutions for physicians, lawyers and other professionals. Steve navigates the complexities within this marketplace and helps his clients select the right risk management plan for their cannabis business.
Along with being the head of PSA’s cannabis team, Steve also leads PSA’s legal malpractice insurance experts, who specialize in serving law firms ranging from local solo practices to nationwide firms with over 250 attorneys.

Angela Openshaw joined PSA in 2018. With over 20 years of experience working in the P&C insurance industry, Angela uses her vast knowledge to advise and solve our clients most complex risks. Along with being PSA’s Vice President of Commercial Divisions and a Senior Client Manager, she also serves as an education consultant advising, and training fellow employees based on their educational goals.
Angela joined PSA’s Cannabis insurance team to not only assist in managing current and perspective clients, but to also learn more about the industry. She is deeply versed in legislative complexities that surround the cannabis industry. After learning about the health benefits of cannabis and the limited number of carriers it has, Angela is dedicated to helping her clients find the proper risk management coverages that satisfy all their needs.
